Navigating Course Materials at Regis University: A Guide to the Ranger Station Bookstore and Textbook Programs
Regis University offers several programs and resources to help students access required course materials efficiently and affordably. The Ranger Station Bookstore serves as a central hub for textbooks, supplies, and Regis gear, while programs like Follett ACCESS and Ranger Ready streamline the process of obtaining necessary materials. This article provides a comprehensive overview of these resources, including program details, eligibility, costs, and important policies.
The Ranger Station Bookstore: Your One-Stop Shop
Located in Regis Square, the Ranger Station Bookstore provides a wide array of resources for Regis University students. Beyond textbooks and school supplies, it features a technology center and a coffee shop with grab-and-go options. The bookstore is your one-stop for everything from class-required textbooks, school supplies and Regis gear.
Follett ACCESS: Affordable Course Materials for Post-Traditional Undergraduate Students
Follett ACCESS is a partnership between Regis University and the Ranger Station Bookstore designed for post-traditional undergraduate students. This program offers a convenient way to rent or purchase course materials at a reduced cost.
Key Features of Follett ACCESS
- Cost Savings: Students who enroll could see an annual savings of $400 to $700.
- Convenience: The Follett ACCESS textbook program takes the hassle out of buying course materials because course material costs are covered as a per-credit-hour fee charged to your student account. This allows post-traditional undergraduate students access to all required materials on day one. The charge is posted directly to your Regis tuition and fees can be paid along with your university charges or using financial aid.
- Automatic Enrollment: Once you have selected your courses, your course list will be sent to the Regis Bookstore, and they will get everything ready for you! Orders are typically fulfilled two weeks before your class starts.
- Comprehensive Coverage: Only materials identified by your professor or academic program as “required” are included as part of the program.
- Return Policy: After the term is complete, printed course materials must be returned to the Regis Bookstore. The deadline for returning materials without penalty is the final day of Finals Week for any Term within its Semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer). All materials must be returned to complete a successful check-in. If you drop a course, return materials to the campus store by the add/drop date for your term. If you drop a class (including section changes), or if any of your classes are canceled, please make sure to return materials to the Ranger Station Bookstore immediately.
Opting Out of Follett ACCESS
Post-traditional undergraduate students may elect to opt out of their entire term. Before choosing to opt out, price comparison with traditional purchases is recommended. Important note: If you elect to opt out, the bookstore notifies Student Accounts every Friday via a report of all opt-outs for the week. Refunds will be processed based on the University's refund policies. Factors such as having a current balance due or whether your student account is up to date can dictate how refunds or credits are processed.
Exempt Courses
In an effort to continue to lower course material costs for students, some courses are exempt from the program. If you are enrolled in a course in these programs, you will not see a fee for courses in your program.

- Convenient Access: Once you have selected your courses, your course list will be sent to the Ranger Station Bookstore. The team at the bookstore will then get everything ready for you! Access your digital material, which is typically available one week before classes start. If digital is not available, you can pick up your required textbooks and materials at the Ranger Station Bookstore approximately one week before classes start. Students in online courses will have their materials shipped to the home address on file with the University.
- Return Policy: If you drop a class or change sections, or if any of your classes are canceled, please make sure to return printed materials (books) to the Ranger Station Bookstore immediately. After the semester is complete, all physical course materials and textbooks must be returned to the Book Depot. The final deadline to turn in your textbooks is the Friday of finals week of the term you are registered for.
Exceptions to Ranger Ready
No. Because students who study abroad are studying at partnering institutions that have non-Regis faculty, staff, course offerings, course schedules and policies, it is not possible for Regis to offer the benefits of the Ranger Ready Program during a student's semester studying abroad. During study abroad, students are responsible for paying the cost of their textbooks.
Eligibility for Graduate Students
If you are a graduate student registered for an undergraduate class, you may be eligible to take advantage of the benefits of the Ranger Ready program.
Faculty Responsibilities
Professors/departments are responsible for notifying the bookstore by term-specific deadlines of materials needed for all classes. Only materials identified by your professor as “required” are included as part of the program.
