Students should inquire about the membership requirements, policies, and procedures for any of them.
Leadership and Governance
Any student club or organization is run by a leadership team consisting of university students who are selected or elected by the official members of the student club or organization. The charter of the student club or organization is one of the most important references and tools that help the leadership team in managing the operations of the student club or organization in an organized and professional manner. The constitution consists of a set of laws and rules that the leadership team and members must abide by. The club or student organization advisor assists and guides the leadership team to achieve the goals of the club or organization and to manage relationships with members and partners in a more professional manner. It is also recommended to select the advisor so that he has the experience and interest in the framework of the club or organization. The advisor can be a faculty member or administrative staff at Qatar University, or he can be a member of another institution that has a partnership agreement with Qatar University and is consistent with the goals of the student club or organization.

Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q):
There are currently more than 50 registered student clubs and organizations at WCM-Q, ranging from different interest groups with an academic focus, to those with a social focus, sports clubs and charitable and humanitarian clubs. We actively encourage students with similar interests to come together, organize and register their student organizations. Our student clubs/orgs are very active and participate in various events with Qatar Foundation and other branch campuses within Education City, whether it is playing basketball and soccer, debating, or organizing educational events.

Texas A&M University at Qatar has more than 20 student organizations. The Electrical and Computer Engineering Program Students Board is constituted of a mix of elected IEEE officers and selected students by the faculty. The students on the board act as a "bridge" between the students and the faculty members by meeting some of them on a regular basis to discuss issues related to teaching, laboratories, and course scheduling. The student board members coordinate with the IEEE Student Chapter some tutoring activities among students. The Texas A&M at Qatar Student Chapter of IEEE was established to provide electrical engineering students the opportunity to become familiar with the processes of a professional organization and reap the benefits of membership in the international association. The IEEE campus chapter helps develop the students' sense of responsibility, communication skills, ethics and professional knowledge.
