Premier League Internships: Your Chance to Kick-Start a Career in Football
The world of professional football extends far beyond the players on the pitch. Behind every successful Premier League team, there's a dedicated team working tirelessly in various roles. Internships within the Premier League offer a unique gateway to experience this environment, providing invaluable insights and skills for those aspiring to a career in the sports industry.
Premier League Internship Opportunities
Several Premier League clubs and related organizations offer internship programs designed to provide hands-on experience and career development opportunities. These programs cater to diverse interests and skill sets, ranging from sports turf management to media production.
MyAlbion Internship: A Deep Dive into Brighton & Hove Albion
Building on the success of the last season’s ‘MyAlbion Internship’, Brighton & Hove Albion offers an immersive internship program designed for individuals who have recently finished college and who would prefer not to pursue university. This unique opportunity offers the chance to go behind the scenes at a Premier League football club.
This two-year fixed-term contract, starting in September 2025, allows interns to rotate through various departments, gaining experience in both on-pitch and off-pitch operations. For this year’s intake, two positions are being offered. As the club is based in Sussex, successful candidates must reside within a commutable distance of both the American Express Stadium in Brighton and the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing.
Prior work experience is not a barrier to entry. The key requirement is a commitment to fully immerse oneself in the internship, embrace challenges, step outside one's comfort zone, learn from the club's teams, and embody the TEAAM Brighton values. This program provides invaluable insight into the inner workings of a top-tier football club and helps interns discover more about themselves while building lifelong skills.

Departmental Rotations: Exploring All Facets of a Football Club
Over the course of the two years, the departmental rotations will immerse interns in every aspect of an elite high-performance environment. They'll gain a comprehensive understanding of what happens both on and off the pitch, from connecting with loyal fans to exploring the operational and business facets of running a Premier League football club.
The mandatory rotational departments will include sports turf and pitch performance. A fourth rotation is tailored to individual strengths and interests. In addition to these hands-on experiences, interns have the chance to pursue relevant qualifications and will be paired with a mentor from the club's management team to guide and support them throughout their journey.
The internship is designed to help individuals discover their interests, learn what they do (and don’t) enjoy, and develop invaluable skills that will serve them well in a footballing environment, and beyond.
The Application Process: Embracing the Challenge
If you are ready to embrace our renowned culture and embark on this incredible journey, you are encouraged to apply.
