Several finishing options are available for all City Prints. Each print is produced on high-quality 105# Stardream Pearlescent Paper.
Framing Choices
The university offers framing options to complement these prints, enhancing their display and preservation. The size of the frame will vary depending on the size of the map you created. Two primary framing styles are available, each with distinct aesthetic and material properties.
Heavy Polystyrene Molding: Frames designed for 12″ x 12″ prints measure 16.5″ x 16.5″, while those for 12″ x 16″ maps are 16.5″ x 20.5″. These frames feature a black 2.75” wide heavy polystyrene molding. The prints are mounted without a glass/acrylic overlay, allowing the unique properties of the paper stock to be fully appreciated. The back of the frame is sealed with a dust cover for added protection.

Genuine-Wood Molding: Frames for 12″ x 12″ prints are 23″ x 23″, and frames for 12″ x 16″ maps measure 15.75″ x 19.75″. Both frames have a black 1.75” wide genuine-wood molding. The print is enhanced with a soft white acid-free mat, bevel cut and placed on top of the print. The print and matt are protected by a premium crystal-clear acrylic overlay. The back of the frame is sealed with a dust cover for added protection.
Canvas Options
For a more contemporary display, City Prints are also available on canvas. The size of canvases will vary depending on the size of the map you created. Canvas options include 30″ x 30″ or 14" x 14" for square maps and 30″ x 40″ or 14″ x 18″ for rectangular maps. The image is printed directly on high-quality canvas and stretched over heavy gauge 1.5″-deep wood stretcher bars.
