Oozma Kappa (OK): The Underdog Fraternity
Oozma Kappa (OK) is a collection of wholesome, good-natured misfits who have bonded over their shared struggles in the Scaring Program. With only a handful of members, they lack the numbers to compete effectively in the Scare Games. The brothers of OK are:
Mike Wazowski: Ever since he was a young monster, Mike has dreamed of attending Monsters University. A freshman and aspiring Scarer, he possesses extensive knowledge of Scaring history, theory, and technique. Despite his small size, Mike has unwavering confidence, enthusiasm, determination, and heart.
Don Carlton: Facing the realities of the economic downturn, Don Carlton, a Midwestern sales monster, returns to school to acquire new skills and pursue his dream of becoming a Scarer.
Scott “Squishy” Squibbles: Scott Squibbles, a sophomore, embodies the term "undeclared." After his dream of becoming a Scarer was crushed in his first year, "Squishy" became a somewhat aimless wanderer. Small, sweet, naïve, and quiet, he still lives with his doting mother.
Art: The ultimate free spirit, Art is a mysterious monster with a questionable background. He is the strangest member of the Oozma Kappas. Art bowls over the competition with his unique dexterity and unpredictable nature.
Terri and Terry: These bickering brothers have little in common. Terri, with an "i," is a romantic who always sees the silver lining. Terry, with a "y," has a more cynical outlook.
James P. Sullivan: The Natural Talent
James P. Sullivan, or "Sulley," is a natural Scarer. His large size, fierce roar, and family legacy make him a shoo-in for the Scare Program at Monsters University. However, Sulley is more interested in cracking jokes than hitting the books. He soon learns that talent and family connections can only take him so far.
Jaws Theta Chi (JOX): The Brawny Competitors
The Jaws Theta Chi (JOX) fraternity brothers are big on brawn but short on brainpower. They are rarely seen without their letterman jackets. The JOX are brutal competitors who will do anything to win, even if it means breaking the rules.
Python Nu Kappa (PNK): The Pretty-in-Pink Powerhouse
Python Nu Kappa (PNK) is a sorority known for its members' intelligence, cold-heartedness, and merciless nature. Led by their queen bee, Carrie, these ladies are not to be underestimated.

Design and Style: All PNK members share a similar design: a humanoid-like anatomy, three eyes, and the same hairstyle, outfit, skirts, and legwarmers. The only differences are the colors of their skin, hair, legwarmers, skirts, eye shadows, and pupils. Their Greek abbreviation (PNK) is an obvious reference to their sorority color and style (pink).
The Scare Games: Python Nu Kappa is one of the sororities that participated in the Scare Games. During the first event, the Toxicity Challenge, Crystal responded to Terri & Terry's good luck wishes with, "Thanks! We're gonna rip you to pieces!" They finished fourth in that event. PNK was eliminated in the third event, Don't Scare the Teen, because they only managed to scare the teenagers, causing them to get stuck in the maze.
Interactions: The PNKs informed Oozma Kappa about the RΩR's party. At the party, Britney danced with Terri & Terry, while Naomi, Carrie, Heather, Crystal, and Taylor danced with Squishy. They laughed at the Oozma Kappa team when Roar Omega Roar humiliated them. Despite they said to Oozma Kappa about Johnny's party,it is unknown about if they knew about the prank.
Legacy: During the credits, it is shown that one of the members became a scarer at Scream Industries.
Roar Omega Roar (RΩR): The Elite Fraternity
The Roar Omega Roar (RΩR) fraternity is composed of the best of the best. They are the smartest, most skilled, and Scariest monsters at Monsters University. They come from families with a long and proud history of Scaring. While the RΩRs may be preppy in dress, they are ferocious in action and downright ruthless when necessary. Johnny Worthington, the all-powerful monarch, leads the house.

The athletic sisters of Slugma Slugma Kappa (EEK) spend most of their days working out and running drills to perfect their Scaring skills.
Eta Hiss Hiss (HSS): The Mysterious Sorority
The Eta Hiss Hiss (HSS) sorority has been around since the beginning of Monsters University. The members are as mysterious as they are terrifying. These intimidating Goth girls are fierce competitors and tough as nails.
Claire Wheeler and Brock Pearson: The Scare Games Emcees
Claire Wheeler is the Greek Council president at Monsters University. Brock Pearson assists her in emceeing the school’s annual Scare Games.
