Move-In Process

Residential parking is limited on move-in days, and certain surface lots and the first/second floor of select garages are converted into unloading zones. Upon arrival, residents proceed to the designated unloading zone for their community and begin unloading their belongings. Move-in volunteers may be present to assist. Residents then proceed to check-in stations with their UCF ID card to receive important information, keys, and details about hall meetings and programs. Move-in equipment can be signed out for use, but availability is limited.
Once unloaded, vehicles must be moved to designated long-term parking lots or garages to avoid tickets or towing.

Residents are expected to familiarize themselves with the Community Living Guide, housing agreement terms and conditions, living learning community expectations, and communication from staff. These resources provide information about policies and procedures to ensure a smooth transition to on-campus living. For any urgent situations, such as an inoperative elevator or power outage, residents can call the Work Control Center 24/7.
Beds are typically raised to the maximum height prior to move-in, and residents can submit a work order online to have maintenance staff lower their bed if desired. Only maintenance staff are authorized to alter bed heights.
