Empowering the Community Through Education: A Look at North Orange Continuing Education
Since 1973, North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) has played a vital role in the community, providing free, noncredit educational programs and services designed to empower individuals from all walks of life. As the noncredit arm of the North Orange County Community College District, NOCE stands as a testament to accessible and relevant education for a diverse population.
NOCE's Reach and Accreditation
NOCE's commitment to serving the community is evident in its expansive reach. Annually, it serves over 29,000 students, spanning preschoolers to seniors. This diverse student body benefits from instruction at three main center locations in Anaheim, Cypress, and Wilshire (Fullerton). Beyond these centers, NOCE extends its educational footprint through partnerships with over 100 community-based locations. These partnerships encompass K12 schools, churches, community centers, senior centers, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers, ensuring that education is accessible within the neighborhoods where people live and work.
Further solidifying its commitment to quality, NOCE is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges. This accreditation signifies that NOCE meets rigorous standards of educational excellence and is dedicated to continuous improvement. As part of the California Community College System, all NOCE courses receive approval from the state of California, guaranteeing that the curriculum aligns with state educational goals.
A Stand-Alone Institution within a District
While NOCE operates as a stand-alone institution, it is an integral part of the North Orange County Community College District. The district also includes the credit-based Cypress College and Fullerton College. What NOCE Offers
Students enroll in NOCE’s noncredit programs for a multitude of reasons.
