EA Sports College Football 25: A Triumphant Return to the Gridiron
College football fans have eagerly awaited the return of the iconic video game franchise, and the release of EA Sports College Football 25 is just around the corner. After more than a decade since NCAA Football 14, the new game promises to capture the pageantry, traditions, and excitement of college football like never before. The game looks wonderful visually.
Release Date and Availability
College Football 25 is set to be released on July 19th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For those eager to get a head start, the Deluxe Edition provides up to three days of early access, beginning on July 16th. EA Play members can also enjoy a 10-hour Early Access Trial starting July 16.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Editions
To entice fans, EA Sports is offering several pre-order bonuses and different editions of the game:
- Standard Edition: Includes the base game.
- Deluxe Edition: This edition includes several digital bonuses to enhance the gaming experience. To access pre-order content, players must redeem their single-use code (if required), log into the game, and log into Ultimate Team mode while connected to EA servers. Pre-order content includes items such as the Alma Mater Ultimate Team Pack, Cover Athlete Ultimate Team Pack, and Bring Glory Home Ultimate Team Uniform Item. Note that all pre-order content is for use with one EA account and is non-transferrable. Also, all CUT player items are non-auctionable and non-tradeable. Pre-order content will not be available if you redeem after July 19, 2025.

CampusIQ
CampusIQ brings more authenticity to the actual gameplay experience. That means home-field advantage impacting the road team with screen shaking. It also means player ratings that fluctuate throughout the game, as well as a wear-and-tear system that players will have to manage as fatigue and the potential for mistakes increase.
Wear & Tear System
As the hits add up, players wear down with the Wear & Tear System. Over time, your player's risk of injury and fatigue increase with each hit they take. Players will need to manage fatigue and the potential for mistakes as the game progresses.
Homefield Advantage
Game-altering homefield advantages rattle your rivals in college football's toughest places to play. Homefield advantage gives your team the upper hand. Your opponent's WR routes will rattle, and the pressure on QBs builds up if you dominate. Fans will be immersed into the most iconic settings, stadiums and traditions of college football, from The Big House to The Swamp, Tuscaloosa to College Station, and everywhere in between. However, you'll also need be careful of the same things when you play on the road.
Pre-Snap Recognition
Pre-Snap Recognition makes the decision behind every snap matter more. This feature lets you read your players before the play begins. Do you want to throw it deep to your senior star WR, or your Freshman Tight End who's nervous under the big lights?

Dynasty Mode
Dynasty Mode - Create your own head coach and take a current program to the playoff, we are back baby. Returning fans from the NCAA Football series can once again enjoy classic modes like Dynasty. The former allows you to become the head coach of any of the 134 College programs in the game. Not only will you play out the season schedule and beyond, but you can control several team-building aspects to build the dynasty of your dreams. Recruit players, send scouts away, and keep your eyes on upcoming talent to build a super team.
In Dynasty, you'll need to create and manage a coaching staff and upgrade their skill trees to improve your team's development.
Road To Glory
Live the life of a student-athlete with your created player and take home the Heisman as you build an unforgettable college football legacy. Road To Glory puts you in the shoes of a young player looking for a chance to make history. Play out your college career in the school that recruited you, or transfer to a rival school if you want to create some headlines. However, the ultimate goal is simple - be the greatest college football player to grace the field. Earn a Heisman, or two, and win some National Championships to elevate your school's status in the NCAA.
In Road To Glory, you need to manage your schedule, GPA, image, and trust with your coaches. Overall, good performance on and off the field rewards you with more playing time.
Road to the College Football Playoff
Experience a new way to play competitively across consoles in the Road to the College Football Playoff. This new competitive mode lets you play across different consoles. Pick any of the 134 FBS Schools and increase your rank by defeating opponents and earning votes. The more you earn, the faster you level up to better divisions. Will you represent your university, or take a power school to climb the polls? Earn rank by upsetting the toughest opponents and securing the votes you need to progress and level up divisions.

College Football Ultimate Team
Build your dream team of college football stars and legends. No surprise here, but Ultimate Team found its way into College Football 25. Overall, this card collecting mode lets build a team of college football stars, past and present. If you've played Ultimate Team in any other EA Sports game, you pretty much know what to expect at this point. Play Solo Challenges or H2H Seasons to upgrade your squad and take on the toughest contests.

Obviously, another expected mode. Overall, take any two of the 134 FBS Teams and pit them against each other. Great for learning game mechanics and controls.
Pageantry and Traditions
Revel in the storied traditions that electrify college football stadiums every Saturday. From rivalry rituals to famous crowd chants, EA College Football 25 will offer a lot of unique team content. There will be 134 FBS universities in the game, which means fight songs, mascots, specific crowd cheers and campus sights will be on full display.
Commentary and Broadcast
Listen to the iconic voices of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit as they call marquee matchups, while Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack take the mic for all other games. Overall, College Football 25 features different broadcast commentator groups. Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler will commentate over “marquee matchups”.
