Campus Life: Extracurricular Activities and Community
Mercy High School offers a vibrant campus life with a wide range of extracurricular activities. 90% of Mercy Girls are involved in at least one extra-curricular activity. These activities are available to our students at no additional cost. 1/3 of all students participate in some form of leadership.

Athletics
70% of all students participate in at least one of our 25 teams across 15 sports. Mercy Athletics is committed to creating a student-centered environment where our student-athletes are focused on pride, commitment, leadership, sportsmanship, and respect. Mercy offers 15 sports for students to choose from.
Fall sports consist of cross country, golf, flag football, tennis, volleyball, and water polo. Winter sports consist of basketball and soccer. Spring sports consist of gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, swim & dive, and track & field.
Tryouts and Strength and Conditioning begin over the summer. Summer conditioning will take place June 16th-July 24th with General, Swim, Basketball, Flag Football, Waterpolo, and Volleyball sessions. In order to participate in Summer conditioning, all Magnus documents need to be uploaded and approved prior to participation. All athletes are required to submit a physical between June 1st and July 8th, 2025 to be approved to participate in athletics at Mercy.
Clubs and Organizations
The majority of Mercy students participate in one or more extracurricular activities from athletics and clubs to supporting Admissions. Student Government, Clubs & Activities, Dining, Transportation, Tri-School Faith & Service, School Calendar, News & Announcements, Tri-School Productions, School Uniform Student & Parent Handbook, Mercy-A-Thon Student Fundraiser, Emergency Preparedness, and New Mascot.
Tri-School Program
Mercy High School is a part of a program called Tri-School, a partnership with Notre Dame High School, Belmont, an all-girls high school, and Junipero Serra High School, San Mateo, an all-boys high school.

The Mercy Mission and Values

Here, a girl occupies every role: every seat on student council, every position on a team, every club leadership role. A Look at Mercy's History
Mercy High School is a diocesan, private, all-girls Catholic high school in Burlingame, California, United States. The school is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco, and is run by the Sisters of Mercy, founded by Catherine McAuley. The prior mascots at the school were the Crusader Rabbit and the Crusaders. "Hip-Hop the Bunny" was the name of the Crusader Rabbit mascot suit used prior to the 2010s, when the mascot suit was abandoned.
