They are looking for PhD, Masters and Bachelors students to join their team for a 3 month Summer Program for Students in Engineering. Advance AI Research (AAIR) Internship

The Advance AI Research (AAIR) team at Magic Leap is looking for a motivated and creative intern with a strong background in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. The AAIR team is dedicated to advancing the field of artificial intelligence by researching and developing fundamental mechanisms for composing Spatial and Semantic Deep Learning. Their goal is to extend true Spatial Awareness to Generative AI, allowing for more advanced and realistic simulations of real-world environments.

Perception Team Internship

The Perception team in Magic Leap is building the perceptual algorithms for the future Augmented Reality (AR). The company is looking for strong researchers and engineers with exceptional research and development skills in 3D computer vision and deep learning for summer internship. Responsibilities within the Perception Team

Interns on the Perception team can expect to:

Conduct independent research and development work on advanced computer vision and deep learning components and work with full-time engineers who would mentor them.
Work hand-in-hand with all the key stakeholders and developers across the company contributing to computer vision and deep learning components.
Write maintainable, reusable code, leveraging test-driven principles to develop high-quality computer vision, 3D geometry, and deep learning modules.
Take the research to productization and deployment working with full-time engineers in the team.

Must-Have Skills

Ideal candidates for the Perception team internship possess knowledge in computer vision, 3D geometry, and/or deep learning techniques and applications in one of the following domains:

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)
Global localization
Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO)
Mathematical Optimization
Camera calibration
Dense environment mapping
3D geometry processing
Semantics and scene understanding
Scene segmentation
Deep learning model optimizations to run over embedded platforms and on the cloud.
Multi-task learning and deep model compressions

Proficiency in C, and/or C++ , Python or C# are a bonus.
