Navigating the LSUS Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide

Accessing the myLSUS Portal
The myLSUS portal is accessible via a web-based application. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. LSU Online students will use a different link to access their myLSU portal.
Login Credentials
Authentication is done through your myLSU ID and myLSU Password. These credentials are created upon submission of your application to LSUS. If you have been a prior student at LSUS, your credentials already exist.

Accepting Financial Aid
It is imperative to accept your financial aid before the start of each semester. This can typically be done approximately two weeks before the fee payment deadline. To accept your financial aid:
- Log in to myLSUS.
- Go to Financial Aid > Financial Aid Acceptance > Accepted.
- Change "No" to "Yes" for the relevant semester.

Scholarship Opportunities via Academic Works
LSUS utilizes Academic Works, a scholarship management site, to connect students with scholarship opportunities. To access Academic Works:
- Be admitted to the University.

- Complete the General Application, which consists of preliminary questions outlining your accomplishments.
Ensure that all required references are "Submitted" by checking the “Status” bar on your “My Applications” dashboard.

Academic Records and Transcripts
Requesting Transcripts
LSUS students can request both paper and electronic copies of their official transcripts.
Requesting a Paper Transcript:
- Request a paper copy of your official LSUS transcript via Parchment.
- In the search bar, input Louisiana State University - Shreveport.
- Choose the option that says Louisiana State University - Shreveport.
- A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you want to send it.
- Enter your preferred name, what degree you received, and area of study (i.e. Business Administration, English, etc…).
- On the Order Summary page, you will be able to add additional copies if needed.
- Continue through the payment portal and pay for your order.
Notarization or Apostilling of Transcripts or Diplomas:
Complete a Request for Certification of Information form prior to requesting the notarization or apostilling of a transcript or diploma. This form may be accessed by logging into your myLSUS account and clicking on the Records/Forms tab.

CTEP Course Enrollment
The Concurrent Enrollment Tuition Program (CTEP) operates on a space-available basis. Do not add the course(s) to your schedule yourself. Once the last day to add has passed, eligible students will be added to the course if there are seats available.

Commencement Regalia
Graduates are strongly encouraged to order their commencement regalia prior to the deadline. While regalia is available for purchase on campus and at the ceremony on the day of, supplies are extremely limited.
