Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program at Kash Career College prepares students to become beginning healthcare workers in acute care settings or long-term care facilities. The curriculum consists of lectures and clinical experiences. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the State Competency Examination for Nursing Assistants in the State of California. The Nursing Assistant program prepares individuals to help with the routine care and treatment of patients in healthcare facilities, working under the direction of nursing and medical staff. A Nurse Assistant's job includes providing personal care, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining the safety of his or her clients. During the course of this program, the student will learn the essential duties of the Certified Nurse Assistant. These will include how to interact with the patient, how to monitor and observe the patient's condition, and access the patient's needs.

Grade Requirement: The grade requirement for passing the class is 70%.
Morning Program: 28 days (1 additional make-up day if necessary).

CNA Class Schedules

Kash Career College offers various schedules to accommodate different student needs:

Morning CNA Classes: Theory via Zoom (online). In-person clinicals are held in the city of Carmichael or Sacramento.

- Starts: April 13 and Ends: May 20, 2026
Weekend CNA Classes: In-person classes.
- Starts January 11 and Ends: March 21, 2026
- Starts March 28 and ends May 31, 2026

Home Health Aide (HHA) Program

The Home Health Aide (HHA) program at Kash Career College is a state-certified add-on certificate to the CNA certificate. To enter the Home Health Aide (HHA) program, the student must have an active California State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate, or is also registered to take the CNA class. The HHA program prepares students for entry-level positions with home health agencies. It also prepares the HHA student to providing care independently in the patient's home or in assisted living, independent living, and hospice environments. Certified Home Health Aides work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Certified Home Health Aides perform hands-on patient care to meet the patient's needs in accordance with the plan of care. They also assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Home Health Aides visit the homes of the elderly, disabled, and the recovering client, in order to provide assistance with every day tasks. They often work within the home setting in order to improve the quality of life of their clients. More and more clients have begun to depend on Home Health Aides because their services are often cheaper than hospital bills. The home environment may also be more comfortable for clients and could help to speed up the healing process.

Restorative Nurse Assistant (RNA) Program
