Academic Factors

GPA is a very important academic factor. Applicants need a mix of A's and B's, and very few C's to be considered competitive. Taking harder courses like AP or IB classes can compensate for a lower GPA.

Standardized Tests

However, if you would like to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship Program or Honors Scholar Program, an SAT or ACT score is required. Half the applicants admitted to High Point University who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1110 and 1320 or an ACT score of 24 and 33. However, one quarter of admitted applicants achieved scores above these ranges and one quarter scored below these ranges. High Point University's SAT code is 5293; the ACT code is 3108.
