Instruction is tailored to students' English language proficiency using WIDA English Language Development Standards and Performance Definitions to monitor ongoing student performance.

Safety is a top priority-before using hand and power tools, soldering torches, or ladders, students must complete comprehensive safety training. Graduates leave the program with Hotworks, OSHA 10, and EPA 608A certifications, as well as documented shop and classroom hours applicable to apprentice training. GLTS After Dark Program

The GLTS After Dark Program offers Lawrence High School, Phoenix Academy, Andover High, Methuen High and North Andover students the opportunity to receive a career and technical education at GLTS. It's called "After Dark" because students attend GLTS for technical training from 3 pm - 5:30 pm. The GLTS After Dark Program is designed to respond to the unmet demand for vocational education in the Merrimack Valley. Students apply during their sophomore year and attend the program during their junior and senior year.
