The Gifted Learning Academy Curriculum: Nurturing Lifelong Learners

Gifted Learning Academy (GLA) is devoted to early childhood education, focusing on how young students are educated to build a solid foundation for learning. GLA offers quality care through excellent programming, inviting each child on a journey of learning and exploration through its academic programs. The GLA Curriculum is constructed by owner and director, Richelle Pugh, using age-appropriate lessons to provide children with academic experiences designed to promote problem-solving abilities, persistence, and a passion for lifelong learning.

The Genesis of Gifted Learning Academy

Gifted Learning Academy began with a single student and a vision to grow. Through a combination of an amazing facility, supportive parents, and dedicated effort, GLA expanded to accommodate five students. Currently, Gifted Learning Academy has 14 enrolled students. Richelle strives to instill in her students the same foundation that her parents instilled in her, before they even begin school.

The GLA Curriculum: A Comprehensive Approach

The preparatory kindergarten readiness curriculum has been created by blending collaborative learning, discovery specials/life skills, NC standards, and STEM into a comprehensive half-day preschool program. This curriculum underscores the belief that learning is an exciting experience.

Hands-On Learning and Fun

The teaching philosophy at GLA is rooted in the idea that children learn best by doing. The activities are concrete, hands-on, and encourage participation, emphasizing the importance of fun in the learning process.
