Florida State University Football: A Guide to Student Tickets and Game Day Traditions

Florida State University (FSU) Athletics is dedicated to excellence, fostering a vibrant community for fans and supporting over 500 student-athletes. This commitment is reflected in the consistent annual fund-giving structure across all ticketed sports, ensuring continued success both on and off the field.

Understanding the Ticket Landscape

Season Tickets: A Variety of Options

For the 2026 football season, a range of season ticket options are available for purchase and renewal. Returning season ticket holders can generally expect their 2025 seating location to be the same, with opportunities to upgrade seats during the online selection process in the spring.

Main Stands

Bleacher seats in the main stands are priced at $350 per seat. A Seminole Booster contribution may be required depending on the specific location and the number of seats purchased. Importantly, these seats do not necessitate a capital campaign gift.

Premium Seating: West Sideline Club, Dunlap Champions Club, and Section 121

For a more exclusive experience, the West Sideline Club, Dunlap Champions Club, and Section 121 offer all-inclusive food and soft drinks, along with access to a cash bar and private, indoor spaces. Pricing for these premium areas varies depending on the location and specific experience chosen. Availability and pricing information can be obtained by contacting FSU Athletics directly.

West Chairbacks

A new seating option at Doak Campbell Stadium, West Chairbacks offer enhanced comfort compared to traditional bleacher seating. These widened seats feature a mesh back and provide convenient access to the newly renovated concourse with updated concessions and restrooms. Availability and pricing details can be requested from FSU Athletics.

Suites and Founders Level

Private suites and the Founders Level represent the most premium seating experiences available at Doak Campbell Stadium. Given the variations in availability and sizing, it is recommended to inquire directly for detailed information.

Student Tickets: Navigating the Lottery System

The FSU Athletics ticket allocation system aims to create a fair process for students to obtain lottery football tickets, utilizing Spear-It reward points. These points are accumulated through attendance at FSU sporting events, class standing, and student Seminole Boosters’ points.

Despite these efforts, the high demand for student tickets often leads to frustration, as the number of student-designated seats is limited compared to the large undergraduate population. Doak S. Campbell Stadium has a seating capacity of 67,277, but only nine sections are allocated for student lottery ticket holders. This imbalance between supply and demand has prompted concerns among students regarding access to games.

Addressing Student Concerns

Recognizing these challenges, FSU Athletics is actively exploring solutions to improve the student gameday experience. One area of focus is the transferability of tickets. While the Student Conduct Code explicitly prohibits selling tickets, there has been a crackdown on ticket transfers in general.

To address these issues, FSU Athletics has implemented measures to reduce unauthorized ticket transfers while adhering to the Student Conduct Code. While previous policies strictly prohibited transferring tickets, FSU Athletics is now working on solutions to allow students to send tickets to each other in a controlled manner.
