EMT Training Scholarships: Fueling the Future of Emergency Medical Services

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are the frontline heroes of healthcare, providing critical pre-hospital care to the sick and injured. The path to becoming a certified EMT involves rigorous training, and the cost of EMT schools can be a significant barrier for many aspiring professionals. Fortunately, numerous EMT training scholarships are available to help aspiring EMTs achieve their dreams and contribute to their communities.

NAEMT Scholarship Opportunities

The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) is committed to supporting the professional development of its members. NAEMT offers scholarship opportunities to active members to assist them in their professional and career advancement. One exclusive NAEMT scholarship at Columbia Southern University covers up to 60 credit hours toward one online degree program. This scholarship is applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to three years or until the completion of the selected online degree program, whichever comes first. Furthermore, full NAEMT members receive a 15% tuition discount on online courses. While NAEMT membership is not always required for all scholarships, it's certainly advantageous.

The NAEMT Foundation actively works to strengthen and build a better future for EMS by funding both EMS education and research initiatives. Scholarship applications are typically accepted between March 1 and April 30 and awarded in June. Grant applications are accessible through the Program Reporting System (PRS).
