Navigating the Elmhurst University Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide

Welcome to Elmhurst University! As you embark on your academic journey, the myElmhurst portal will serve as a central hub for accessing important information, managing your student account, and connecting with campus resources. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the portal's features and how to utilize them effectively.

Getting Started: Accessing the myElmhurst Portal

The first step is to log in to the myElmhurst Portal using your eNumber and password. Your eNumber is your unique student ID and will be required for various tasks throughout your time at Elmhurst. If you're a new student and can't find your eNumber, reach out to your admission counselor for assistance. They are there to guide you through the initial steps and answer any questions you may have.

  • Logging In: Access the myElmhurst Portal with your eNumber and password.
  • eNumber Retrieval: If you've forgotten your eNumber, use the "forgot username" link.
  • Password Reset: If you've forgotten your password, use the password reset link.

Essential Tasks for New Students

Before your first day, there are several important tasks to complete. The myElmhurst Portal is where you'll manage many of these.

Paying Tuition and Housing Deposits

To confirm your enrollment, you'll need to pay your tuition and housing deposits through the Portal using your eNumber and password.

Submitting Required Documents

  • Official High School Transcript: Ensure your high school sends your official transcript, showing your graduation date, directly to Elmhurst University. This is a federal requirement.
  • AP/IB/CLEP Score Reports: Submit official score reports for any Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams you've taken.
  • Health History and Immunization Records: All new students must submit a health history and proof of immunization for certain diseases. This can be done electronically.

Checking Your Financial Aid Package

If you've filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), your financial aid package will be viewable on the Portal. Click the Self-Service icon and log in to access this information. Financial aid appointments are available to guide students and families through the financial aid process, offering on-campus, Zoom, and phone call options.

  • My Progress (Degree Audit): Track your progress toward degree completion. My Progress is the same as your Degree Audit.

As long as you completed your studies after 2003, the Self-Service app (ss.elmhurst.edu) is all you need. You’ll log in with your eNumber and the most recent password you used with your myElmhurst portal account.
  • Refiling Process: Make changes to your registration.
  • Commencement Ceremony: Information regarding your graduation ceremony.
  • Financial Aid: Access your financial aid information and complete necessary tasks.
