A Historical Overview
The Eller College's journey began in 1913 as a bachelor’s degree program in commerce. Over the years, it evolved, becoming the UA School of Business and Public Administration in 1944. In 1998, it was renamed the Eller College of Business and Public Administration, which was condensed to Eller College of Management in 2004. The school proudly bears the name of alumnus and entrepreneur Karl Eller (BSBA Marketing ’52), the founder of Eller Outdoor Advertising, Combined Communications Corporation, and Eller Media Company. Karl Eller was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame by the American Advertising Federation in March 2004 in New York City.

The College is home to top-ranked entrepreneurship, MIS, MBA, doctoral, and undergraduate programs, and leads the nation’s business schools in generating grant funds for research. The Eller College of Management at University of Arizona (Eller) offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, health care administration, marketing, and management information systems. Students can choose concentrations in entrepreneurship, finance, management information systems and marketing. Eller also offers eight dual degree programs, including ones with the law school and medical school.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Colleges rankings, Eller’s Management Information Systems (MIS) undergraduate program is No. 2 overall and No. Eller’s new undergraduate business analytics major, which officially launched in Fall 2025, made an immediate splash, debuting at No. 28 nationally and No. 12 among publics. Beyond those headline programs, Eller notched strong placements across several disciplines. Tuition and Funding

The Accelerated MBA Program

Admissions
Yes, in most cases the GMAT is required. Applicants complete an online application form and two essays while procuring two letters of recommendation, one set of official transcripts and official GMAT scores. They also pay a $100 application fee. The Admissions Committee will review completed application packets and identify viable candidates for an interview-preferably in-person, but alternatively by phone.
