East Carolina University Pirates Announce Baseball Schedule
East Carolina Baseball has officially released its complete 2026 schedule, setting up another loaded year for the Pirates with seven home weekend series, a return trip to 2025 CWS runner-up Coastal Carolina, and the annual rivalry series against North Carolina.
The new slate, announced Monday, offers a mix of familiar foes, regional rivalries, and conference challenges that will test the Pirates from opening day through May.
Opening Stretch
The Pirates will start their season at home February 13-15, hosting Xavier in a three-game weekend set at Clark-LeClair Stadium. ECU then heads to Campbell on Feb. 17 for an early road test before returning to Greenville the following day (Feb. 18) to face Northern Illinois.
A week later, ECU will dive into one of the most anticipated weekends of the season - the annual home/neutral/away series with North Carolina (Feb. 20-22). The in-state rivalry remains one of the most competitive in college baseball, with locations still to be determined.
The Pirates then make a midweek trip to Fayetteville on Feb. 25 to take on College of Charleston in a neutral-site matchup before hosting the Keith LeClair Classic (Feb. 27-March 1), which will feature Rutgers, Troy, and Western Carolina.

Road Tests and Non-Conference Highlights
The next weekend, ECU will head to Conway to battle Coastal Carolina (March 6-8) - a rematch of last year’s postseason matchup in the Conway Regional. The Pirates dropped two of three to the Chanticleers in Greenville last spring, then were eliminated by them in June.
Following that, ECU hosts Old Dominion (March 10), travels to William & Mary (March 11), and closes out non-conference weekend play against Pennsylvania (March 13-15) at Clark-LeClair.
The Pirates’ midweek schedule once again packs a punch, with home-and-home matchups against Duke, NC State, Campbell, and UNC Wilmington spread throughout the spring.
American Conference Schedule
Conference play begins March 20-22 when ECU welcomes UAB to Greenville. The Pirates will then head west to face UTSA (March 27-29) before returning home to host Charlotte (April 2-4).
April also includes a road trip to Tulane (April 10-12), followed by a home series with Wichita State (April 17-19) and USF (April 24-26). ECU will visit Memphis (May 1-3) and host Rice (May 8-10) before wrapping up the regular season on the road at Florida Atlantic (May 14-16).

Postseason
The American Conference Tournament will run May 19-24 in Clearwater, Florida, followed by NCAA Regionals (May 29-June 1), Super Regionals (June 5-8), and the College World Series (June 12-22) in Omaha.
Building on the Godwin Legacy
The 2026 season will mark Year 12 under head coach Cliff Godwin, who enters with a career record of 432-214-1. Godwin has taken the Pirates to nine NCAA Tournaments and four Super Regionals during his tenure, including last season’s conference title and postseason run that saw ECU eliminate Florida before falling to Coastal Carolina.
With a deep non-conference slate, a balanced league schedule, and a battle-tested roster returning, the Pirates look primed for another postseason push.
