Clemson Football Student Tickets: A Comprehensive Guide
Navigating the Clemson football student ticket system can be complex. This guide provides an overview of the current system, addressing changes over the years and outlining the options available to students.
A Changing Landscape: Then and Now
A significant increase in student enrollment has changed the game. In 1999, Clemson had 16,982 students enrolled. In contrast, last year, Clemson had 29,077 students enrolled. This increase of 12,095 students has intensified the competition for football tickets. The difficulty in obtaining student tickets is driven by more than the success of the football team.
Adding to the complexity, the allocation of student tickets has also shifted. In 1999, Clemson allocated 10,500 student tickets per game. Currently, Clemson allocates 4,653 student tickets for season tickets and 4,127 tickets each game to the single-game lottery, totaling 8,780 student tickets per game. The success of the program caused a total of 1,720 tickets to be removed from the student pool and added to the greater revenue stream.
Current Ticket Options
Currently there are two main options for getting football tickets:
- Season Tickets (Paid Lottery)
- Single Game Lottery (Free)
Season Tickets: The Paid Lottery
Under this option, Clemson students can purchase season tickets for all seven home games. Lower deck tickets cost \$300 for the entire season (\$42 per game), and upper deck tickets cost \$175 for the season (\$25 per game). Top Deck Season Tickets are offered to Bridge Students if qualified on points.

Allocation Process: Access to purchase season tickets is prioritized via a points system as approved by CUSG and includes two main factors: seniority and IPTAY Collegiate Club membership.
Each grade level earns a student a point:
- Seniors/Graduate Student (Undergrad at Clemson - 120 or more completed undergrad hours at Clemson): 4
- Juniors: 3
- Sophomore: 2
- Freshman/Graduate Student (Non-Clemson Undergrad): 1
IPTAY Collegiate Club members receive an additional point in the Student Point System for each year of IPTAY Collegiate Club membership.
For example, a senior with 4 years of Collegiate Club membership would have 8 total points.
Single-Game Lottery: The Free Option
The free single-game lottery is capped at a maximum of four games to allow as many students as possible to have access to attend games this fall. The single-game lottery will consist of only Hill and Top Deck tickets.

Point System for Single Game Lottery:
Each grade level earns a student a point
- Seniors/Graduate Student (Undergrad at Clemson): 4

- Bridge/Graduate Student (Non-Clemson Undergrad): 1
IPTAY Collegiate Club members will receive an additional point in the Student Point System for each year of IPTAY Collegiate Club membership.
For example, a senior with 4 years of Collegiate Club membership would have 8 total points. A senior with no years of Collegiate Club membership would only have 4 points.
The maximum number of points a student can receive is 8 points
All requests are submitted online by a student where they will rank their games 1 to 7, with 1 being the game they want most and 7 being the least

Students do not request an area of the stadium - Tickets will be assigned to the Hill first, then Top Deck, with points being the determining factor
A student does not need to request all 7 games if they can only attend 3 games, then they would rank those 3 games 1-3
A weighted lottery is run for each individual game to determine who wins a ticket.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Football Student Tickets, Clemson students must be an enrolled full-time student (12+ hours undergraduate; 9+ hours graduate).
Students enrolled in co-op/internship courses are not considered full-time students. In order for these students to become eligible for ticketing, they may pay the \$30 Co-Op Activity Fee. Students can pay this University fee at iroar.clemson.edu.
Wristbands as Tickets
Scannable RFID wristbands will serve as student tickets. To enter Memorial Stadium, students must present their CUID and have their wristband scanned.
Ticket Transfers and Resales
Students will also be able to transfer tickets to other Clemson students. While purchased season tickets can be resold, free tickets must be transferred for free.
IPTAY Collegiate Club
As the student group within IPTAY, the Collegiate Club connects you with Clemson Athletics and works to make sure every Clemson team has a loyal fan base at every home game. Since it began in 1997, the IPTAY Collegiate Club has grown to over 8,000 members.
IPTAY Collegiate Club membership includes both football season ticket and single game ticket benefits:
Season Ticket Benefit:
IPTAY Collegiate Club members will receive an additional point in the Student Point System for each year of IPTAY Collegiate Club membership. For example, a senior with 4 years of Collegiate Club membership would have 8 total points on April 25 (The last day to request season tickets).
Single Game Ticket Benefit:
For the single-game lottery, IPTAY Collegiate Club members will receive an extra entry in the lottery for each year of Collegiate Club membership. For example, a senior with 4 years of Collegiate Club membership would be entered 8 times in the lottery.
Whether it is scholarships, academic support, training, facilities or operating expenses, IPTAY support is all directed toward the single goal of developing stronger, better prepared and better educated student-athletes.
Addressing Past Issues
Student Body President Mason Foley and Vice President Logan Young have wanted to address issues with the student ticket policy since they began their terms in March. One of the issues that drew the most backlash was Hill attendance, as the Hill was noticeably bare at several home games last season.
Additional Information
Clemson Athletics and IPTAY have continued working collaboratively with Clemson University Student Government leaders in developing updated ticketing policies, based on feedback from students. Policies are examined and approved annually.
