Unlocking Lifelong Benefits: A Guide to Chi Omega Alumnae Membership

Every year, thousands of women join Chi Omega, the largest fraternal women’s organization, becoming part of a sisterhood that extends far beyond their college years. With 182 collegiate chapters and over 427,000 initiates, Chi Omega offers a wealth of opportunities for personal growth, professional development, and lifelong connections. This article explores the numerous benefits of remaining active within the Chi Omega alumnae network.

The Enduring Power of Sisterhood

A Chi Omega’s collegiate years are just the beginning. Sisters will find lifelong support systems and meaningful connections through the largest alumnae network of any sorority. Membership in Chi Omega provides lifelong friendships, campus and community involvement, and countless opportunities for personal growth and development in college and beyond. Rather than focusing on “fitting in,” Chi Omega provides a space for our members to belong… a place for Sisters to connect with like-hearted friends who live authentically and who are there for one another when it matters. The sorority provides an opportunity for members to reach their fullest potential and gain access to a supportive network of women that will help them grow far beyond their college days.

Well-being and Success Beyond College

Membership in fraternal organizations has been linked to higher well-being for college graduates. In a new Gallop-Purdue Index Study conducted in 2021, the positive impact Greek Life had on members not only affected their collegiate years, but the post-graduate life also. In a 2021 Gallup-Purdue Index Study, it was found that college graduates who were in fraternities and sororities were more likely to be thriving in all five critical elements of well-being (purpose, social, financial, physical, and community). Great Experiences in College and Workplace: Affiliated alumni are substantially more likely than nonaffiliated alumni to have had all the Gallup defined “positive college experiences,” resulting in better workplaces and life outcomes after graduation. Great Jobs: Affiliated alumni are more likely than nonaffiliated alumni to be engaged after graduation. Great lives: Affiliated alumni are more likely than nonaffiliated alumni to be thriving in multiple areas of their lives.

Staying Connected: A Variety of Avenues

Chi Omega offers numerous ways for alumnae to stay connected with their sisters and the organization. These include:
