- Registration Window: Your registration window is the date and time registration opens for you. In Self Service - Student Planning, your registration window will be displayed as a banner under the “Schedule” tab.

Your Student Success Advisor can help you understand the holds and connect you with the offices needed to resolve them. All registration holds will be placed on records no later than a week prior to registration opening.

- Credit Overload: Students enrolled in more than 18 credit hours during the semester will be charged for each additional credit at the current per-credit-hour rate ($2,100 per credit).

Financial Aid
Access your financial aid information, including grants, loans, and scholarships. Track the status of your financial aid application and view any required documents.
VA Education Benefits
All students receiving VA education benefits are required to fill out an online form located on the student portal to request their benefits. The form needs to be filled out every semester once you are registered for classes.
Time and Payroll Management
For students employed by Champlain College, the portal is essential for managing timecards and payroll.
Oracle: Champlain’s Payroll System
Oracle is also Champlain’s payroll system. Champlain operates on a bi-weekly pay period and you want to be sure to submit your completed time card for approval before the end of each pay period. In order to be paid on time, hours must be approved by ALL supervisors you worked for during the pay period by the end of the pay period.
Submitting Time Cards
- Accessing Time Cards: In Oracle, click on the Time and Absences app and select Current Time Card.
- Inputting Hours: Select Add and input the Position, Payroll Time Type (EARN CC Student Hourly), Date, Start Time and End Time. Do not fill out the Absence Type or Quantity fields.
- Deadlines: Time Cards are due by Monday at 10am of each pay period*, and supervisors must approve by Monday at noon. If you do not submit your hours by this deadline, your wages may be delayed until the next pay period. *Time Cards will be due Friday at 10am if Monday is a Federal Holiday or falls on a school break, and the college is closed.
Editing Time Cards
- Accessing Existing Time Cards: In Oracle, click on the Time and Absences app and select Existing Time Cards. If the Time Card you want to edit is not listed, you must create it by selecting Add and inputting the start date of that pay period under Date. The pay period schedule can be found here. Please contact your supervisor to let them know that your timecard needs editing.
Housing Selection
The student portal is also used for housing selection.
THD (The Housing Director)
You will receive a Time Block on THD for the specific window of time during which you may log in and choose your room. Log in to THD before your time block so you are ready as soon as your window opens.
Room Selection Process
- Available Rooms: THD will display a real-time list of every room option available for each selection process. To see a list of available rooms for a specific selection window, click on the selection time and you will see a list of the rooms for which you are eligible.
- Roommate Groups: If you are in a roommate group, each person in a group has a time, but the person with the earliest time should log in and choose the room or suite for the group. Be sure to talk to each other in advance. Be sure your group size matches the room size you want to select, as students will only be able to see rooms that the roommate group can occupy.
- Consolidation Policy: Students sign up for a specific room-however, due to the consolidation policy, you may receive the same room type but not the exact same room number. (For example, if you sign up for a double in Valcour, you’ll remain in a double in Valcour, even if it’s a different-numbered room).
New Employee Onboarding
For students who are newly hired, the portal provides resources to simplify onboarding.
People Center and I-9 Completion
This is where the People Center comes in! Section 1 of your I-9 can be completed online; view the step-by-step guide for help. Section 2 must be completed at Compass Student Services in Perry Hall.
Champlain College Online (CCO)
Champlain College Online (CCO) has specific resources within the student portal to support online learners.
