CareerSmart Learning Resources: Your Gateway to Professional Development
In today's rapidly evolving professional landscape, continuous learning and skill development are paramount. CareerSmart Learning offers a comprehensive suite of resources designed to empower individuals and organizations to thrive. This article explores the various facets of CareerSmart Learning, from its subscription plans and course offerings to its commitment to providing accessible and relevant educational content.
Subscription Plans: Unlimited Access to Knowledge
CareerSmart Learning's subscription plans provide unlimited access to a comprehensive Continuing Education (CE)/Contact Hour library, tailored to individual professional licenses and/or certifications. Upon enrollment, subscribers gain instant, 24/7 access to a wide array of courses.
Automatic Renewal and Curriculum Refresh
Subscriptions automatically renew one year from the initial enrollment date. Renewal grants a fresh enrollment in all curriculum courses while preserving past completions in the transcript. Courses "In Progress" or "Pending Evaluation" at renewal reset to "Not Started," allowing for recertification retakes.
Impact on Current Learners
The new subscription plan does not affect current learners. Those who previously purchased courses or bundles retain access for one year from the enrollment/purchase date. Current learners can join the new subscription plan upon expiration or at any time. Note that previously purchased products/bundles may be integrated into the subscription model and unavailable for repurchase after expiration.
Navigating the Platform: Addressing Technical Considerations
Course visibility may be affected by factors like outdated browsers (Google Chrome is recommended) or enabled pop-up blockers. All courses expire one year from enrollment.

Certificate Access
To access certificates, users must complete the entire course, pass the exam with a score of 80% or higher, and complete a short course evaluation. Certificates are available for download and printing in the Transcript section of the Dashboard. Approval information, including multiple accreditations if applicable, is listed on the Certificate of Completion by profession.
Subscription Management: Cancellation and Important Notices
Subscribers can cancel their CareerSmart Learning subscription at any time through their account, maintaining access until the end of the current paid term. Online subscriptions offer a prominent "click-to-cancel" button or link for immediate termination. Cancellation is also possible via the original enrollment method.
RCFE Initial Certification Training
Learners completing the RCFE Initial Certification Training must apply for the state exam within 60 days, as per CDSS requirements. CareerSmart is not liable for missed deadlines; repurchase and retaking the 80-hour course are required if the deadline is missed. Subscribers receive annual renewal reminders.
Reporting and Approvals
Approval numbers are listed on the certificate of completion. Nursing courses are reported on the 1st and 16th of the month for licensees in Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Washington D.C., provided their license number is in their profile. The subscription plan includes over 10 hours of ethics-approved courses.
Discontinued Programs and Services
The ICTP program and application assistance/consulting services have been discontinued. The 40-hour online bundle is no longer available. Due to the expiration of an emergency state waiver in March 2023, RCFE administrators must now complete 20 hours of online courses and 20 hours of live instruction for renewal. CareerSmart no longer offers live RCFE instruction courses, but a 20-hour online bundle is available.

Renewal Requirements
Both renewals must be completed separately, as they are approved by different accrediting bodies. Contact the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) for assistance. California RCFE Administrators can earn a maximum of ten (10) continuing education hours per calendar day, per Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. For state acceptance, each individual course certificate must be submitted.
