Navigating the CUNY Queens College CAMS Program: A Comprehensive Guide
Queens College, a part of the City University of New York (CUNY), offers a wide array of opportunities and resources for its students, faculty, and staff. Central to accessing many of these resources is the College Account Management System (CAMS), which is now referred to as QC Username account. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the CAMS program, campus access policies, available scholarships, and essential digital resources.
Accessing Campus Facilities
For Summer 2024, starting on Monday, June 3, specific campus access policies are in place to ensure a secure and organized environment.
Pedestrian and Vehicle Access
The 65th Avenue and Kissena Boulevard gate serves as a primary entry point for both vehicles and pedestrians, remaining open from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm daily, including weekends. During the late-night and early-morning hours, specifically from 11:30 pm to 6:30 am, access is directed to the Main Gate entrance and exit on Kissena Boulevard. Gate #2, located at Melbourne Avenue and 150th Street, is open exclusively for pedestrian traffic from 7 am to 11 pm daily, including weekends. Gate #3 (Reeves Ave is also available.
The QCard: Your Key to Campus Life
To fully engage with campus life, obtaining a QCard is essential. A CAMS (College Account Management System) account is a prerequisite for acquiring a QCard. The process involves submitting a photo online via the ITS (Information Technology Services) portal. Once the photo meets the specified criteria and receives approval from ITS, the QCard will be printed and made available for pickup at I-Building 200.
