Scholarships

Bishop Miege offers a variety of scholarships to support students with different backgrounds and achievements:

The McGurren Family Scholarship: A one-time scholarship of up to \$5,000 for incoming high school freshmen who demonstrate financial need, graduate from an Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas grade school, and are high-achieving students with no discipline issues. Students must apply for admission at Bishop Miege & financial aid by Oct. 31.
Mary Ann Lucas Scholarship: A \$300 award for students who attended regional Catholic grade schools, named in honor of a past teacher, administrator, and friend of Miege.
Pastors’ Scholarship: Awarded by the pastor of each parish in the region for 10% of tuition.
Matty Molnar Scholarship: A \$500 award in memory of a 1996 graduate, given to a student with a strong devotion to the Church and Catholic faith.
Strecker Scholarship: A \$400 award, named in honor of a student in the Class of 1985, given to one sophomore boy and one sophomore girl each year who reflect life to others in an extraordinary way.
Bob Frazier Alumni Scholarship: A \$3,400 scholarship based upon citizenship and achievement for students who may not otherwise be able to attend Miege.

Tuition Reduction for Multiple Children: When more than one student from a family is simultaneously enrolled at Bishop Miege for any one academic year, tuition reduction is given to the family. A second child in a family automatically receives a \$350 reduction.
The Breadwinner Fund: Pays all remaining tuition of a student attending Miege in the event of the death of a parent who provides the main financial support of the family.
Work Study Positions: A limited number of work study positions are available to reduce tuition costs. Maximum possible earnings would be approximately \$1,200.
