Navigating the Bergen Community College Bookstore: A Comprehensive Guide

The Bergen Community College Bookstore serves as a vital resource for students, providing access to textbooks, course materials, and various supplies necessary for academic success. Understanding the bookstore's offerings, policies, and alternative options can significantly benefit students throughout their academic journey.

Accessing Your Student Portal and Essential Information

Before delving into bookstore specifics, it's crucial to ensure you can access your Bergen Community College Student Portal. This portal is your gateway to important information, including financial aid details and payment options.

Finding Your Username and Password: If you're having trouble accessing your Student Portal, resources are available to help you recover your credentials.

Financial Aid and Payment Plans: Financial aid plays a significant role in many students' ability to afford college. If you've applied for financial aid, monitor your Student Portal to see if any documents are requested. If you want or need to take the loans, you will need to officially ACCEPT the loans in your student portal and complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling. The links to these can be found at www.studentloans.gov - you will log in with your Federal ID# (same # you used for the FAFSA).

Payment Plans: If your financial aid is not complete by the time payment is due, you will need to set up a payment plan to protect your classes from being deleted. You can also take out a payment plan if you are paying out of pocket for all or part of your tuition bill. You can pay online in full or set up a payment plan through the student portal. Click Webadvisor for Students, click Self Service, Click Student Finance. If your financial aid is completed (loans or grants) you don’t have to do anything to “pay the bill” - this process will automatically happen when classes start.

The Bergen Community College Bookstore: Your Source for Course Materials

The Campus Bookstore has partnered with Bergen Community College to bring Follett Access onto your campus. This program enables you to start learning on day one of class and allows you to have a more affordable option when it comes to purchasing your course materials. We look forward to being able to bring a program like this to the students, staff, and faculty here at Bergen Community College.

Follett Access: A Convenient and Affordable Option

Follett Access, a course material solution that delivers Course Materials to students on or before the first day of class through a course fee, built into your tuition. This program ensures you receive your course materials that you need to succeed more conveniently and makes them more affordable.

How Follett Access Works: If your course is participating in Access, you are automatically opted in but will have the opportunity to opt out if you so choose. By participating in Access, you will receive either a digital copy or physical copy of your course materials on or before the first day of class at the lowest price available. You are charged through your tuition bill.

Purchasing Your Textbooks: A Step-by-Step Guide

Enter your courses to see what books are required for your course and section. You can get the books from the bookstore at Bergen or anywhere that you’d like.
