ASE is a society for all users of cardiovascular ultrasound, irrespective of their specialty. It brings together like-minded people who relish the joys of imaging by echocardiography or other imaging modalities. The society strives to support the profession in a variety of ways, allowing each member to play a valuable role.

With 18 committees, four councils, and four special interest groups (SIGs), ASE has something for everyone: advocacy, education, and practice diversity. The resourcefulness of the ASE community is unparalleled. Members learn so much from the incredible educators, journal, journal club, live, and virtual meetings.

ASE Guidelines: A Cornerstone of Cardiovascular Ultrasound

ASE guidelines are designed to be an essential and integral part of the decision-making in the use of cardiovascular ultrasound as an imaging modality. There are currently over 80 active ASE guidelines.

The ASE Learning Hub is the hub for all your professional development needs, saving you time and money! It provides access to a wide array of educational resources and opportunities.

CME/MOC Credits

ASE offers several live and virtual courses throughout the year. All these courses offer CME/MOC points.

Claiming CME Credits:

To claim all eight (8) CME credits for each exam type, you must successfully complete all 48 questions for each one. Partial credit is not available. Credits can be purchased for 15 USD for each exam type completed. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Once verified, click the “Click Here to Continue” button and then be redirected to the ASE homepage. From here, Click the “My Account” button. Each 8 credit claim is 15 USD. To claim CME for multiple exam types, learners must pay the fee for each applicable listing. Once the fee(s) has been paid, learners will automatically be enrolled in the evaluation (due no later than February 8, 2026) associated with the exam type(s) purchased. Learners can access and complete these evaluations via their Learning Center within the ASE My Learning Hub.

A virtual fundraiser for those ASE members affected by the Australian bushfires raised over $3000, revealing our community's shared depth. ASE Cares began in May 2019 as a social media campaign to promote and to foster social connections with other ASE members. ASE Cares helps create a sense of place, purpose, and belonging. Besides, you can find an extensive image library and mentor matching.

Engagement in ASE can help members expand their opportunities to advance personally and professionally. ASE members who recruit five or more new members receive their next ASE membership for free as part of the Member Ambassador Program, created in 2017.
